christina's review

My second marriage was brief.  I blinked, and it was over. For those scant months I thought we were blissfully happy, for all eternity. Take that, dumbass multi-divorced types! I thought, smugly. Frequently, I irritated my friends telling them how I was so lucky and how very much in love I was. I felt a little bit bad when I saw my spinster coterie wincing from the glaring unfairness of it all. But I couldn’t help myself. I was lucky. I had it all.

And then it all crumbled, like feta in a salad. Our union had deteriorated, and I had noticed all of absolutely squat. When he fled for the hills, sobbing and mumbling about his need for ‘freedom’ and to attend more Phish concerts far away from my unappreciative eyes, I was in shock. I actually expected him to spin around and say, ‘psyche!’ But he didn’t. He was serious. And he was gone.

‘Thanks to my friend Tracy I see where I erred. I never wanted a husband. I wanted a nanny.

Tracy Davis delivers with her debut novel:
My Husband Ran off with the Nanny and God Do I Miss Her, available on Amazon.com.

Amongst her many talents, she is a skilled painter and a fearless champion athlete, now Davis has graced the literary scene with a rollicking good read.

Tracy Davis is the funniest female I have ever met. At once sharp, hilarious, poignant and mesmerizing. She is a natural humorist and a treat to see in action.

Davis has captured her own unique effervescence and bottled it brilliantly in her very first book.

This is the story of a woman ‘who had it all’. She is the embodiment of every unmarried (read: horribly naïve) girl's fantasy. Suburban house, replete with presentable husband, cute children, a Jack Russell and a rabbit. They even have a white picket fence.

The story, stripped bare, is tender and tragic all about the bonds that tie.

And the funny thing is that this little spunky lady, who was emotionally carved up from her experiences and suffered a blow to the ego, regained her strength and confidence enough to write a brilliantly funny book.
